EMDR Intensives: A Modern, Accelerated Path to Healing

What are EMDR Intensives:

Just like EMDR itself offers a unique and powerful way to process trauma, EMDR Intensives take that to the next level. These focused, extended sessions allow for deep healing in a much shorter time frame compared to traditional talk therapy. By helping the brain “rewire” through targeted EMDR processing, we’re able to desensitize painful emotions and shift long-held negative beliefs about yourself at the root. This means we can process more material, more effectively, and support meaningful change in a way that weekly sessions often can’t match.

Location:

I offer EMDR Intensives and customized healing retreats in the heart of Manhattan to help you fast-track the relief and transformation you're seeking. These focused sessions are designed to support deep, lasting change, so you can move forward with clarity, confidence, and renewed energy.

In-person sessions available at:
303 Fifth Avenue, Suite 804
New York, NY 10016

You don’t need to wait months to feel better, when healing can happen in days.

What to Expect from an EMDR Intensive:

EMDR Intensives typically consist of extended sessions (90 minutes or more) over consecutive days. This focused format allows us to dive deeper, move faster, and work through what might take months in weekly therapy, giving you the opportunity to experience real healing and relief on an accelerated timeline.

That said, the work is called intensive for a reason. It’s deep, focused, and yes intense. But, so is the healing. These sessions are designed to create lasting shifts by targeting the root of the issue, not just the symptoms.

Because EMDR Intensives aren’t the right fit for everyone, I offer a free 45 minute consultation ( in-person) to assess readiness and make sure this approach supports your needs and goals.

If you’re already working with a therapist, Intensives can also be used as a short-term adjunct, especially for targeting specific issues like early trauma, after which you return to your regular therapy. I’m happy to collaborate with your current provider to ensure continuity of care.

Things to Consider:

Healing in Days, Not Months

Experience meaningful, life-changing progress in a matter of days, not months or years. EMDR Intensives are designed to fast-track your healing so you can move forward with greater clarity and ease.

Cost-Effective & Efficient

Because the work is concentrated and highly focused, you spend less time circling the same issues week after week. Instead, more time is spent actively processing and healing making it a more efficient and cost-effective investment in your well-being.

No More Weekly Appointments

Say goodbye to scheduling your life around therapy. An Intensive gives you the space for deep transformation without the ongoing weekly commitment. Helping you get back to living the life you truly want.

More Time for What Matters

Reclaim your time for family, career, creativity, and personal growth. With healing that actually sticks, you’ll no longer be held back by the patterns and pain of the past.

No Waitlists, Just Support

Skip the long waiting lists. Schedule your free 45 minute consultation today (phone or in-person) to explore if an EMDR Intensive is the right fit for you.

Why Choose an EMDR Intensive:

An Investment in Your Future

Choosing an EMDR Intensive is an investment in yourself and your future. Instead of paying for weekly sessions over months or years, you’re making a one-time investment in a focused, immersive healing experience. While the upfront cost is higher, it’s often less than the total you would spend on ongoing weekly therapy, and the results can come much faster.

Many clients plan ahead and save before scheduling their Intensive. Once your Intensive is set, you’ll know exactly what your financial investment no ongoing, open-ended costs.

Powerful Change, Fully Supported

When you experience deep, rapid shifts in how you think, feel, and respond to the world, it doesn’t just change you. These shift can transform your relationships, your sense of self, and the way you move through life. While these changes are often incredibly positive, they can also ripple through your family or support network in unexpected ways.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, I understand the importance of supporting not just the healing itself, but the integration of that healing into your everyday life. Throughout your EMDR Intensive, we’ll discuss these dynamics and equip you with tools to navigate them confidently, so you can hold onto your progress, deepen your transformation, and feel ready for the life you’re creating.

After Your Intensive

Some clients complete an Intensive and feel ready to fully move forward without additional therapy.

  • Others benefit from continuing with a therapist: Either to explore areas outside the focus of the Intensive or to support ongoing growth.

  • In certain cases, several Intensives may be needed to fully process and heal complex trauma, and a weekly therapist may be recommended in between Intensives.

If you already have a therapist, I’m happy to coordinate care to make sure you have the support you need before, during, and after your Intensive. This will all be discussed thoroughly in your free 45 minute consultation today, which can be done by phone or in person.

FAQ

  • An EMDR Intensive can begin in the morning or afternoon, depending on your preference and energy level. We’ll meet for 4 hours. The flow is flexible. We adjust the pace and timing to match your needs and the natural rhythm of the work. If we’re making strong progress, we can also schedule sequential Intensive days to keep the momentum going. Each day ends with grounding and integration so you leave feeling supported and ready for what comes next.

  • It really depends on your needs and goals. During your intake consultation, we’ll talk about what you’d like to work on and what you hope to achieve through the Intensive. Together, we’ll decide how much time will be best for you.

To make the most of our consultation, I may ask you to share a brief written history ahead of time so we can focus our time on what matters most to you.

  • When I reserve time for your EMDR Intensive, I dedicate that 4 hours working with you. The rate is $1000. A 50% deposit is required to confirm your reservation, with the remaining balance due on the final day of your Intensive. We can discuss this in detail during your free intake consultation.

  • Life happens, and I understand things may come up. If you need to reschedule, your deposit and payment will carry over to your new date.

If you must cancel entirely, deposits are refundable (minus a $200 scheduling fee) if you cancel more than 30 days before your Intensive. Cancellations made within 30 days are non-refundable.
